My job is to find the next exciting piece of tech for the home and garden, test it out, and write about it in ways that people want to read.

The spec sheet tells you what the product does on a good day. I tell you what it's like on a real day; when wind, rain, and drought get in the way.

The best home and garden tech gives you your time back, so I'll tell you if it takes a degree in computer science to get the thing working. (I don't have a degree in computer science either).

I can take a 40-page technical manual and turn it into 500 words a reader might actually enjoy.

I'm the person who people text before they drop a grand ona  robot lawn mower.
